Wedding in Clonabreany House with Rose and John

My lovely day at a wedding in Clonabreany House started at Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, Co. Meath. The Knightsbrook Hotel has a great selection of luxurious self catering accommodation in which one of them Rose and her bridesmaids and family got ready for the big day!

After a lovely morning and some bridal portraits in the accommodation at Knightsbrook Hotel I headed over to the charming little village of Kilkyre, Co. Meath. At St. Alphonsus Liguori Church the groom was greeting the guests and waiting for the arrival of his amazing looking bride Rose… Since it was requested to concentrate on natural wedding photography, I just kept snapping away and caught some lovely moments on the side. I love the photo of dad animating his kids for photographs… 😉

Rose and John’s ceremony was touch and fun at the same time! I always love a couple of jokes by the priest as they really make those moment beautiful and joyful!

The church grounds were not so attractive but next to the church was a little paddock of green with fruit trees and a lovely little iron fence to separate the cows from the church grounds. We used the greed for a couple of romantic photos after the marriage ceremony…

After their marriage Rose and John went straight to celebrate their wedding in Clonabreany House. This really unique wedding venue impresses with it’s historical building set in the middle of unspoiled Meath countryside, not far from Trim. Surrounded by horses Clonabreany House also provides fantastic options for wedding photos with horses, of which we not avail this time. The feeling of an old Irish country house wedding is always present, never mind the classic extension of the house by a luxurious marquee which can host up to 220 guests…

Rose and John had this beautiful vintage Taxi of Clonabreany House which gave a perfect backdrop for some romantic wedding photographs. Opposite of the renovated country house were the self catering accommodation in restored stables. We took some photos in the park and under the beautiful arch way…

When I initially met Rose and John in Clonabreany House to familiarise with the area for photographs, Rose told me the reason for booking her wedding in Clonabreany House was the amazing bridal suite! And yes, I did understand her! Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a wedding night in a luxurious vintage style suite with fantastic views overlooking beautiful horses on a lush meadow…
